“I spent years evaluating dozens of systems that claimed to solve the enterprise data problem and they all failed in the same way. They started with UI, templates, and structure, and tried to add meaning later — when key functions are irreversible. Occam flips that completely, starting with business logic, with language, with structure applied with intentionality. We define it in metadata and we generate the rest from there. That’s what makes Occam not just a platform, but a foundation.”

Our Team
Steven Macleod In the 1990s, Steven thought he was going to be a hipster web developer, but soon realised the biggest issue in IT was the data problem, and set out to find a solution. He spent 15 years studying the root cause of system failure and another 10 years developing Occam as the solution to unifying isolated and unstructured data.
Alex Guiseppe Alex is the Occam front end developer, which is an abstract job considering Occam doesn’t actually have a front end. Alex writes the code that writes the code. Very Meta.
Daniel van Jaarsveld Daniel is an Occam implementation specialist, with a background as a business analyst and industrial engineer. Daniel also develops Occam’s machine learning capability.
